Human Interest Story

Description-

Students review the concept of the Human Interest writing style; what constitutes a human interest story. Students pick 3 possible topics to write about, post them on their ePortfolio for review with the teacher. Students pick on topic that they are interested in writing about, then do the necessary research, reference their sources, use the idea map to generate an outline, then write a 300 word draft for peer review. Final copies are posted to their ePortfolios

Reflection-

For this project I started off by filling out a main idea web about my trip to Shasta. After I was done, I wrote my rough draft. When I was done with my rough draft I got it peer edited for three people in my class. I made my corrections on word, then I printed out two copies. I gave one copy to Mr. Schiff and the other copy to the zinger  crew. I thought this project was pretty fun because it refreshed my brain about all the good times at Shasta. It made me feel like I was there and swimming in the warm water. I tried really hard on this project and I hope I did good. This class is pretty fun and I’m exited for future projects. Hope Mr.Schiff likes it:)
