Video Angles

Description-

Video Camera Angle Exercise

Students learn to use the video camera to demonstrate an understanding of various techniques. They use the Shots and Angles handout to reference 5 video camera filming techniques, then compile the footage in iMovie to show their work. Movies are uploaded to Vimeo and then presented on their ePortfolios. This exercise is completed while working on the PSA #1 Assignment.

Reflection- For this project we started off by filming many different shots. There were five video angles and we tried to make a story out of them. Then first angle is zoom, then tilt, pan, dolly shot, and hand held. Our story was off of a ghost. Molly, Maddie and I filmed three different videos using all of the angles. One movie was the original, then the other two were just similar story lines. Every shot took many try’s and the hardest part was the dolly not working how we want it to. After we filmed all the shots on our iPad, we uploaded all of them to iMovie. Once they were in iMovie, I added the names of all the angles, added transitions, and added music. The music I used was called news because I thought it went with the story line. Once the iMovie was done, I saved it to my camera role and uploaded it to Vimeo. This project was very fun! I love working with my friends! It was also very challenging, but not too hard. In all, I think my movie turned out pretty good!
