10 PSA

Description-

Students research PSAs on topics relevant to middle and high school students (content age appropriate for Middle School students). Students use Google and YouTube, and other links to online sources for their searches. They are to find 10 PSAs that feel feel deliver a message effectively, engage the audience so the topic resonates. Attention is given to video and editing technique, and length of the PSAs. Research to complete this assignment takes approximately 3-4 class periods.

PSA

Reflection-

For this project I started by looking at the PSA topic examples on Schiff’s Blog. I searched the topics that interested me on youtube. I looked for PSA’s that were under 2minutes and were good quality. I watched many PSA’s that I didn’t like, but I also watched a lot of PSA’s that I really liked. Some were okay, and others were amazing. After I found a PSA that I liked, in a pages document, I wrote the name of the PSA, a short description on why I liked it, a rank from 1-10 on how good it was, and the run time. I think I did pretty good on this project. It takes lots or patience to find a good PSA. At the beginning I was being a little too picky. After, I realized if the PSA wasn’t amazing, I could just rank it a little lower. All the PSA’s that I picked really inspired me. I really like all PSA’s that I picked. This project wasn’t the most fun, but I really enjoyed watching all the different PSA’s. This project was also very informational and I think it will help me make future PSA’s of my own!
