AI-Layers

Assignment #3: Layers Project

Using Adobe Illustrator, create a recognizable 2D object or scene, something used,  interacted, or seen regularly. Try a variety of tools to render your object to the best of your ability. You are being graded on effort only at this point of the class. Pay attention to scale and perspective as this will help your object look more realistic. Use the Grid (under View menu). Using Guides (pull out from rulers) will also be helpful). You may choose to use the Perspective Tools (Grid and Selection) to help with your design. Hint: Turn Rulers on under View menu. Use Control + Click On the active Ruler to select your unit of measure.

Reflection:The very first thing I did was my gradient background. Then after that I chose colors that would go well with the background and made those into my mountains. My sun I used gradient to make it and then I drew the outside of it in yellow pencil. Once I did all of that I added a bunch of symbols to fill in the empty spaces. Just some of the tools I used were Gradient, Ellipse, and Pencil tool. I think I did pretty good on this project. I added something to the sun that not everyone does and I though it looked good. My gradient background I though looked good because it started out dark and went to light smoothly. Can’t wait to do the 3D layers project on AI.
