Description: Students will explore different software applications for creating a complex 3D prototype design(s). As a class we will brainstorm ideas for replicating and/or customizing designs for common objects that are used to solve routine problems. Examples might include designing a set of gears that will be used in conjunction with an shaft to turn or move another object, a protective device for smart phones (custom designed smart phone case), etc. Detail in specifying measures for design elements becomes essential to successful builds.
Reflection: This was the hardest project I have done in this year. First I had to make sure the wheels would roll. Then I had to get the windshields and car look good. I think the wheels did not roll because when it prints the printer doesn’t print it exact. I am happy with how I did this year and I had a lot of fun in this class. Thank you Mr.Schiff!
