Shots and Angles

Modified:

Assignment #6: Shots & Angles Story Exercise

Students learn to demonstrate an understanding of various techniques camera techniques. They use the Shots and Angles handout to reference 5 camera shots and 5 camera angles. Students will tell a story using images they take or gather from the internet, then compile the footage in iMovie to show their work. Students will provide their own soundtrack using Garage Band, then upload to their ePortfolios.

Reflection: In this assignment, I had to take 10 photos, upload them, create an iMovie, and make a Garageband piece.  I used my own camera at home and took photos over the weekend since I already know how to upload photos (due to yearbook, that was my job last year).  I then dragged them into iMovie and started choosing transitions and titles.  I titled all of my photos and made sure I had cool transitions.  In iMovie, I also made sure that I put the photos into the “fit” position.  In Garageband I created a one minute piece.  I took many different sounds and put them all together.  I then dragged my Garageband piece into my iMovie, making sure I turned it into and MP3 first.  I made sure the Garageband fit in my iMovie.  I think I did well on this assignment because I took really pretty pictures, made terrific titles & transitions, and made a great Garageband piece.
