Digital Media- Week 8

 - by jprice23

This week in Digital Media, I started working on Adobe Flash.  I have never worked in Flash, so I got to explore a lot of new tools.  One tool that stood out to me was how you could make things move.  You had to add a new layer on the timeline and made sure you put it on classic tween.  You could then move the shape around at different times and in the end when you put it all together it would make a cool movement.  I could use these skills if I ever wanted to create a short commercial.

This week in digital media I worked on my Shots and Angles assignment.  I worked really hard to get good photos.  I used iMovie and Garageband which I’ve used before, but not very often.  I learned how to make my own garageband and drag it into iMovie.  I also learned how to turn the garageband into a MP3.  I could use these techniques if I wanted to create YouTube videos.

Digital Media- Week 4

This week in digital media I finished my DVD cover assignment and I started working on the Adobe Illustrator name game assignment.  I learned a lot on Adobe Illustrator. I have never worked on it before so had a little trouble at first. I got it figured out though. I learned how to use the clipping tool which I think is the coolest.  I could use these Adobe Illustrator skills if I ever wanted to create a cool poster.

Digital Media- Week 3

This week in digital media I worked on my DVD Photoshop cover assignment.  I worked extremely hard on the back cover and I am now working on the front cover.  Over the weekend, I am going to take my picture for the cover. I am going to do a close up of my eyes and then edit it to look creepy.  I used the text tool a lot which I have used before, but not very often.  I found out that it’s easier to make a text box in Word and then drag it over to your project because you can adjust the sizes easier.  I learned a lot about copyrights, pictures, and writing you find on the back of a DVD cover.  I didn’t notice how much goes into just the back cover.  I can’t imagine actually making the movie!  I could use these skills if I ever wanted to major in film posters.
