3 Ways To Cook Sausage Indoors!

The above video shows how to cook sausage indoors!  The video offers are three ways to cook Sausage:

  1. Searing
  2. Broil
  3. On a Johnsonville Sizzilin’ Sausage Grill

Method 1: Searing (0:15-0:33 of video): 

Pros: Cons:
  • You Can control The Heat
  • You Can Watch The Sausage Cook
  • You will have a bigger mess to clean
  • You have to watch it while it cooks

Tools Needed:

  • Frying Pan
  • Lid
  • Apron (optional)
  • Tongs
  • 2 plates (one for raw sausage, one for sausage after it has been cooked)
  • Measuring Cup
  • Oven Mit

Cooking Instructions:

  • Turn your burner to medium
  • Use Tongs to Place Sausage in a Pan.
  • Add a 1/4 cup of water
  • Cover Pan
  • Braise for 10 minutes until the water is gone
  • Your plate had raw sausage.  Rinse your plate and put in dishwasher to avoid cross contamination.  
  • Use an Oven Mitt To Remove Cover
  • Turn Sausage with Tongs
  • Cook the sausage all the way through uncovered (another 5-10 minutes and serve

Method 2: Broiling (0:33-0:49 of video): 

Pros: Cons:
  • Fastest
  • Easy Clean Up
  • You do not have to stand and watch it
  • You do not have control of the heat or how it cooks.

Tools Needed:

  • 2 plates (one for raw sausage, one for sausage after it has been cooked)
  • Baking Sheet
  • Aluminum Foil
  • Tongs
  • Oven Mit

Cooking Instructions:

  • Turn your broiler to high setting
  • Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil
  • Place Sausage on Baking sheet and put in broiler
  • Let them cook for 5-6 Minutes
  • Your plate had raw sausage.  Rinse your plate and put in dishwasher to avoid cross contamination.  
  • Take out of Broiler and Turn
  • Cook in Broiler for another 5-6 Minutes
  • Take out of Broiler and Enjoy!

Method 3: Johnsonville Sizzlin’ Sausage Grill (0:49-0:49 of video): 

Pros: Cons:
  • Easy
  • You do not have to stand and watch it
  • You need a Johnsonville Sizzlin’ Sausage Grill

Tools Needed:

  • 2 plates (one for raw sausage, one for sausage after it has been cooked)
  • Johnsonville Sizzlin’ Sausage Grill
  • Tongs

Cooking Instructions:

  • Place Sausages in Johnsonville Sizzlin’ Sausage Grill.  Make sure you have one in the middle
  • Close lid, turn on and wait
  • Your plate had raw sausage.  Rinse your plate and put in dishwasher to avoid cross contamination.  
  • The Grill will ding in 15 minutes.  Remove Sausages and Enjoy!
