Jasper Wallace’s inter view with Aba (grandfather) Rashid Merchant, “The Trip Through India and the life of Abdul (Rashid)”

The interview was interviewed by Jasper Wallace, age 13, in Eugene Oregon on December fifth. I interviewed my Aba, or grandfather, Abdul Rashid Merchant, or Rashid. I choose to interview him because he grew up in a differenbrt country and has traveled to many places, i was very interested in his life story. The interview was about 34 minutes. In the interview she shares his whole life story step by step, about growing up in Mumbai India,his schooling, his work and his daughters, and then 12 questions at the end were asked. 

I learned so much from this interview! I learned all about his life experiences. Some of them I didn’t even know. Like how he used to have to walk an hour to school or how he used plastic as a rain jacked. I also learned why he chose the names he did for my mother and aunts. I have a new respect for him from hearing the story about what he did for his education and how hard he worked. I know its long but i hope you enjoy it as much as I did!
