Advocacy & Building Community + Summer Internship

The Advocacy and Building Community Program is for youth (ages 16-24) with intellectual and developmental disabilities who want to learn more about themselves, work with others, and explore the outdoors virtually or in-person!

This is a year-long program of online monthly group activities, virtual or in-person outdoor adventures and service learning projects.  Youth will develop independence, self- determination, and leadership skills.

SIP_onepager_2021     (Application deadline is February 1, 2021)

Summer Internship Program is designed for students who are interested in pursuing a career in health care, specifically with a focus on disability and it runs June 21st through August 13th.

Interns will receive training on disability justice, clinical practices, research and cultural awareness, as well as support and guidance in career planning and networking.  The internship will be online (interns will telework).

  • gain experience in the disability field
  • develop transferable skills, and
  • learn about various career paths in health care and disability.
