Welcome to the last week of school everyone! Just four items of note for this week:
• Summer Facilities Update – Beside remembering to complete the Year End Checkout Form and returning it to Crystal’s mailbox, I have a few other facilities related updates. It is fine for staff to come into the building over the summer if you need to. However, we’d like staff to avoid being in the building July 13-21. This is when we will be stripping and waxing the floors. And keep in mind that although maintenance staff may be in the building over the summer that the security system may be on and to use the same procedure that is currently used on the weekends if you need to come into the building.
• Laptop Checkout – I believe everyone who has been taking their laptops home during the school year have already filled out the “Equipment Check-Out” form (4j_hr_rm_equipmentcheck.pdf), but if you have not done so and intend to take your laptop home over the summer, please complete this form and return it to me before leaving for your Summer Break. • 2009-2010 Report Back Dates – Attached (clas-holiday-calendar-09-10.doc) (admn-cert-holiday-calendar-09-10.doc) are detailed calendars of the classified and certified 09/10 work year. 193 day Classified Employees report back on September 2nd. 197 (9 ½ month) Classified Employees report back on August 28th. “Student Attendance Day” Classified Employees report back on September 9th. Certified Employees (teachers) report back on September 1st. Let me know if you have any questions.
• Upstart Crow Studios: Dancing With the Stars – Upstart Crow Studios, a local non-profit dance studio, is planning their 3rd annual Dancing With The Stars Benefit for October 17th, which our very own Mike Odle participated in last year. If you are interested in being one of the “Stars” and getting some free dance lessons, see the attached (ballroominvite.doc) flyer for details.
