Hi All,

Five items of note for this week:

• Final Week to Enter easyCBM Benchark Scores – All reading and math Spring Benchmark scores must be entered by this Friday. If you have any questions regarding easyCBM, see the district easyCBM website.
• Sluggo Delivering EMazing Reader Prizes this Tuesday – Sluggo will be delivering prizes (Ems tickets) to students who met their EMazing Reader Bookmark goal this Tuesday. I was hoping to announce this sooner, but I was waiting to find out what time they would be coming, but unfortunately they haven’t gotten back to me yet. So sometime this Tuesday, be ready for Sluggo to deliver the tickets you gave me the amounts for earlier.
• Reading Endorsement Program – The University of Oregon College of Education now offers a program leading to a Reading Endorsement. For more information, see their website.
• Ending the Year on a High Note – This article is a “Tips for New Teachers” article, but it has good ideas and reminders for even our wily veterans. Recognizing the accomplishments of each student, finding creative alternatives to traditional award ceremonies, and reflecting as a class and as individuals are among the ways you can help your students round off the school year with a positive attitude, writes Mike Anderson.
• Year End Check ListsAttached, and soon in your mailbox, is the year end checklist of items that must be completed by teachers before you leave for the summer. If you need any boxes for when you begin packing up loose items (ie: papers, books, desk items, manipulatives, toys, etc…), let Crystal know and she can provide you with some. All items must be boxed up so they can be easily moved when rooms are cleared out for summer cleaning.

Have a great week, everyone!

Allan
