Hello Everyone,

If you can believe it, this is our last full five day week with students for the school year. All remaining weeks this year are four days weeks. WOW!

Five items of note for this week:

• Last Call for Laptop Image Input – Let me know by the end of this week if there is anything you want different on student laptops for next school year (apps, bookmarks, dock, etc…). Anthony, one of our new TSSs, is going to begin working on the laptop images soon, so if you haven’t already, let me know if there is anything you want added, changed, or deleted from the current image, let me know by Friday.
• easyCBM Data Input – If anyone wants help with data entry of Spring Benchmark easyCBM tests, Ruby can input scores for YG and Jon can input scores for Corridor. They will need the scores no later than Thursday, May 26th, a week before the testing window closes. All scores must be entered no later than Friday, June 3rd.
• OAKS Testing Window Closes Soon, But Now Open on May 20th – The OAKS testing window will close May 23rd, but one change is that the OAKS will be available for students on May 20th, which was originally unavailable due to an ODE furlough day.
• Fire Drill, Monday – Our May Fire Drill will be this Monday at 12:35. On a related note, I’m going to have one or two months next year where the fire drill will not be announced and will be “Crystal’s Choice” as to when it happens. I will let people know which months you can expect the unannounced drills, but they will not be the first few months of the school year.
• Making a Strong Home-School Connection by Being Culturally Responsive – This article has a nice list of reminders on how to build strong relationships with families from cultures and/or backgrounds different than your own. When you only get one chance to make a first impression, these are good reminders for everyone.

Have a sunny week, everyone!
