Hi Everyone,

With the grim budget news last week, I wanted to remind folks that now more than ever, we will need to rely on and support each other through these challenging and changing times – our students and families are depending on it. While the days and months ahead may feel heavy, I can’t think of a better group of people to get through these hard times with. If you ever have questions, thoughts, or just need to talk, I’m always available.

Four items of note for this week:

• Daylight Savings Time – Don’t show up for work an hour early on Monday. Remember to “Fall Back” and move your clocks back one hour.
• Correction to the Emergency Manual Information – In the yellow Child Abuse Reporting Section of the Emergency Manual, the Lane County DHS phone numbers and hours are 541-686-7555 (local) and 866-300-2782 (toll free), Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Call 911 after hours. Also, note that the number for the South Eugene Health Clinic (Pink Section/Spilled Body Fluids) should be: 790-8020
• Virus Warning – There is a new and nasty program that is infecting both Mac and Windows computers. The good news is that it is easy to avoid. It spreads by clicking on a link in a message that says, “Is it you in this video?” If you see this message, delete the message immediately. Right now, it is spreading through Facebook and other places like it. For more information about it, go to http://www.securemac.com/boonana-bulletin.php
• EEF Grants Announced This Week – The EEF Grant process is about to complete its first round. The first batch of grants—and it is a large one—will be announced this week.

Have a nice week, everyone!

Allan
