Hi Everyone,

I hope you all have a nice Spring Break and were able to enjoy those few sunny days. Hopefully we see more of those sunny days from here on out.

Four items of note for this week:

• March 29th Professional Development – All staff, both classified and certified, who work on March 29th are expected to attend the North Region in-service activity this day, focusing on issues of race, equity, and student achievement.. The event will be held at Madison Middle School, with a continental breakfast at 7:30 and the main event beginning at 8:00, going until 11:30.
• Fire Drill – Rain or Shine, our March Fire Drill will be this Tuesday at 12:40. However, if it’s a downpour, I’ll wait for a break and do it later in the day or possibly move it to Wednesday.
• Solar Education Opportunity – AmeriCorps at the Northwest Youth Corps is offering to come to schools to give solar and alternative energy presentations. The presentations/activities are 30-45 minutes per classroom. If you are interested, the contact person at AmeriCorps is Andrew King, who’s email is AndrewK@nwyouthcorps.org and phone is (541) 349-7513.
• Harry Potter’s World Orlando Classroom Contest – Want to enter a video essay contest for your class to be at the opening of Harry Potter’s World in Orlando Florida? If you’re interested, see here for details.

Have a great week, everyone!

Allan
