Hope you all had a fun Halloween. Only two items of note for this week:
• Parent/Teacher Conferences – I’m available to sit in on any conference teachers would like me to attend. Just let me know so I get it on my calendar.
• Letters About Literature Contest – The Center for the Book in the Library of Congress invites readers in grades 4 through 6 to enter Letters About Literature, a national reading-writing contest. To enter, readers write a personal letter to an author, living or dead, from any genre, explaining how that author’s work changed the student’s way of thinking about the world or themselves. Winners are announced in the Spring and receive cash awards at the national and state levels. http://www.loc.gov/loc/cfbook/letters/
