Hello Everyone,
Welcome to the final edition of Allan’s Announcements for 2009. I hope everyone got home safely after work on Friday. I was scraping ice off my windshield when I left school. One more week to go before the break and just three items of note:
• January 4 PD/Planning Day – Our first day back, January 4th, is a Professional Development/Planning Day. YG will be meeting at 8:30 with Marlee Litten to review the IIPM process, interventions, progress monitoring, and differentiation strategies. Corridor will be meeting at 9:00 for a TIP Team Technology Training.
• Last Week for Winter Benchmark easyCBM Testing – All reading Winter Benchmark testing must be completed by this Friday. Please see previous announcements for details and let me know if you have any questions.
• Math Websites – Here are a few good math websites I pulled off of the 4J Math Wiki. And think about contributing something to the wiki yourself if you’ve found any useful sites or created something other teachers might find useful.o Cool math 4 kids – Lots of good online games.
o National Library of Virtual Manipulatives – A great site to use with your SMART Board.
o Everyday Math Resources – Another school district’s site with many good links to interactive manipulatives,
