Cedar Ornament – 12/17-18/19 – DUE: 12/19/19
Students will be making cedar ornaments or coasters using natural materials harvested by Brenda Brainard from the Natives Program. Students will be able to use eye-hand coordination to weave 14 pieces of cedar, then hold them together by weaving colored sinew around the spokes. Lastly, they can choose to add a button for decoration, then cut the spokes to add design; they may also skip adding a button or trinket and prefer to use it as a coaster.

Intro to Photoshop: “Poster Collage Biography” – 40 pts
Students will learn to import photos and images from different sources, use text tools, layers, zoom, move tool, various lasso tools, clone stamp tools, enhance images and experiment with filters. Their Collage Should include the following: First Name, Food, Travel, Actor/Artist/Singer/Band, Color & Number, and Activity.

Linear Perspective Bedroom
For this assignment students are to practice using their ‘linear perspective’ drawing skills and design their dream bedroom. Students take their original drawing, scan it into their files1 folder, then using Photoshop they will put themselves interacting with their room, add color and texture to walls, floor, and other items, as well as adding items and images from the internet to enhance their own drawing. Once finished, they will save as a .jpg or .pdf and upload the original drawing and their finished version to their ePortfolio WordPress Blog complete with a description and reflection.
