Assignment #1: Paper Plane Design
Students will use the links and worksheet provided below for a preliminary exposure to working with 3D Design. The purpose is to learn how different design elements effect product design outcomes. The objective is to build 3 distinct paper airplanes from the templates provided in the linked websites, make measurable observations, adjust and/or modify the designs based on those measures, in order to achieve better flight results.
Students may choose any design to meet the 3 plane requirements, and will complete 3 trial flights for each. Trials are recorded with a final report being completed using the Trial’s Template from the link below.
Reports are to be saved as PDFs and uploaded to student’s ePortfolios for grading.
