Join Veterans in celebrating the 101st Veterans day on Sunday November 10th, 2019 at 13:00 at Skinner’s Butte veterans memorial.

Veterans, families, and supporters will assemble and begin at the Veterans Memorial wall at Skinners Butte Park and walk to the flagpole atop of Skinners Butte. This will involve crossing Cheshire Avenue and using Skinners Butte Loop to ascend the Butte. Secondarily, participants who choose and are able will continue on a lengthier 3-mile ruck through the city using sidewalks and pedestrian traffic areas.
Ruck is a military term which involves a rucksack and traveling a distance on foot. There are formal ceremonies in Eugene and Springfield to view, but many veterans enjoy being active. My goal is to hold an all-inclusive, family-oriented activity for veterans of Eugene and surrounding areas.
