I just started reading the book and it is really good so far. It is about this boy named August. He was born with a “messed up face”. It says that he gts bullied for it and he has to ignore the people staring at him everyday. It also says that his mom wants him to start school which he does not really want to do.

In the book there is this boy named Manuel and he is going to do the Talent Show at his school. He is really scared to do it because he does not know if people are going to like his song. The day of the Talent Show he does not want to do it but his family tells him he should. He does the Talent Show and people think that it was a joke. He is really sad.
