They must use the a background image, a picture of themselves to match the story/theme of their background/fantasy, and then bring in a minimum of 4 images from the web to create a fantasy composite image that tells a story. Composition, masking, detail, perspective and other basic design technique will be included in the grading.

Students will upload their final piece as a .jpg to their ePortfolios on their Tech Lit page or as a page/kid to Tech Lit page (their choice but stick with one method for all assignments) with the assignment order number, and with a detailed assignment description (can be copied and pasted from here) and reflection restating what they did, how they did it, and how they feel about their work.
Makeover:
Reflection: This assignment was very fun and it was a good challenge. This assignment was a little harder because I had to work with merging layers and use the smudge tool. The story of my personal makeover is that I became president and am being put on Mt. Rushmore. There is a big celebration with fireworks and I am in a hot air balloon waving to the cheering citizens. Most of how I did this was by selecting an area and pasting into it or just plain pasting. The first thing I pasted in was the sky which I had to go back and fix at the end. Then I put in myself and the hot air balloon, using the magnetic lasso tool to only have the part I wanted to show up. Once I had put my face on Rushmore, I had to merge the layers to be able to get my face the correct color and use the smudge tool to make it more realistic. I really enjoyed this assignment because it was very fun to come up with a story.
