Who would like this book? I recommend this book for children 11 years or older of age. Witchcraft is used and mentioned almost all he time throughout the story.
The goods on this book: Sophie, the eldest of three sisters works at a hat shop in the town of Market Chipping. Rumors spread about the Howl and the Witch of the Waste coming to Market Chipping to see the Royal King and help with his army. Sophie and her sisters always feared Howl, hoping they would not be snatched and eaten when alone. So they would always stay together when going through Market Chipping. Suddenly, one night, while closing the hat shop, the witch of the waste cursed Sophie to become old. Once Sophie looked at herself, she was terrified by how old she looked. She had to leave the hat shop, hoping she would not be caught by any of her sisters. What will Sophie actually be doing? Where will she go?
