Who would like this book? The best audience for this book, is probably teens who like mystery. It’s also a good beginning horror book for new-comers. You should be prepared to read more of the series because the end brings more mystery and questions.

The goods on this book: The Light is the first book in a series of horror/mystery books. Marshall Seaver is a normal kid, maybe a little nerdy but… okay really nerdy, but when he breaks a gift from his deceased mother, Marsh’s life takes a grim turn. His best and only friend Cooper Foley is getting in more and more trouble until finally he has to go to his parents’ summer house for the whole summer after scalping fake tickets. Marsh is highly disappointed, and he and Coop get into a fight before he leaves. That night when his dad goes out of town, Marsh hears dripping, and starts seeing faces in the window. The next day he has a full blown encounter with his own creation. Marsh is getting scared, but this is just the beginning. When Cooper disappears, Marshall has to team up with Cooper’s sister to solve the mystery of everything. Marshall has to face himself and figure out if he’s being haunted or going crazy.
