Who would like this book? Females who like fantasy, vampire, humor, and mature books.

The goods on this book: Vampire Academy is the first book in the series, and is narrated by a girl named Rose Hawthorne. The story mainly takes place in Montana, at a school called St. Vladmir’s. The kids who attend there are vampires. But in the vampire world, there are three types. Moroi vampires are the good vampires because they drink blood from humans, but don’t kill them, and come from two other Moroi having a baby. The other good kind are Dhampirs (which Rose is). They’re half Moroi and half human, or half Moroi half Dhampir. Dhampirs can’t reproduce with eachother. The third type are Strigoi, and they are the evil kind. Strigoi aren’t born, they’re made. They are a result of Moroi killing off its human feeder. It cuts off their magic. Some are made by force, and some are willingly made.
Rose is a Dhampir, and Dhampir’s sole purpose in life is protecting the Moroi. Rose’s best friend, Lissa who’s a Moroi, have a bond. Through the bond, Rose feels what Lissa feels and can see what she’s doing. In the book, they are trying to figure out why they are, what Lissa’s magic is, and Rose struggles with keeping her emotions controlled around her 24 year old trainer, Dimitri. This book is action packed, romance packed, and is hard to put down. It’s kind of like a more actiony Twilight, mixed with some Hunger Games.
