Assignment #6 – Group Stop Motion Animation Project
Students use the skills acquired from creating previous stop motion animation stories – iPad app iMotion will be the primary tool to learn basic stop motion animation, along with iMovie and other apps that can include making 3D objects. Students will concept and script their story, create sets and other props. Animation will be minimum 2 minutes in length. Group members will complete evaluation worksheet upon project completion.
This project was a lot of fun to make, sadly while making the animation the frames fell between 1 fps and 2 fps instead of 1 1/2 fps like we wanted. So I uploaded the slow animation and the fast animation because we could not fix this problem. The story behind this is a bunch of really slow characters from video games slowly making their way across the track. when they are near finishing “Pit” the name of the angle character comes flying in finishing before all of them. This makes the other contestants mad, so they then chase after him. We thought the idea of really slow characters racing was funny and ironic, so we made it happen and I hope you enjoy!
