Weekly Update #9 November 18, 2016
Posted by ahowe27 in : 3D Design to Print , add a commentThis week in class was a very productive week, I finished many projects, and started new ones! At the beginning of the week I finished and printed my nut and bolt. even though they do not fit together it was still some good practice. The second half of the week I picked my simple problem simple solution project. I ended up starting to make a coaster holder for my bedroom. This week was challenging but fun, and I hope I get more done next week!

Posted by ahowe27 in : 3D Design to Print , add a commentThis week I finished my Bunny Bank and Started my Nut and Bolt project. On Monday my boat finished printing and I made a page for it on my blog (Which is available to read now). I finished my Bunny Bank (which is also on my blog now) and it was a lot of fun to make. I also started making my Nut and Bolt project, which I haven’t finished yet. This was a very productive week in class, and I hope to get more done next week!

Class this week was a lot of fun, the boat project was challenging but very fun to make. My boat started printing on Friday and It will be done next Monday. On Friday I also started on my Bunny Bank project, but it still isn’t finished. I had a lot of fun this week making my boat and I hope I will get to finish more fun projects next week.

The mallet and board project is the most difficult project I have made, It required me to use many tools I was very unfamiliar with. Mine is not done however do to saving issues. This week was a lot of fun and I hope to have more fun next week too.

This week I finished my robot hybrid which you can see completed on my eportfolio now. I used pretty basic tools and robot kit parts to finish my hybrid. Since this was a short week I didn’t get much done, but I hope to get more done next week!

Posted by ahowe27 in : 3D Design to Print , add a commentWe did quite a bit in class this week. We got introduced to a new application called 123D Design, and its really fun to use. Our first assignment for 123D design is to make a hybrid using the robot kit. All that I have done so far is play around with the tools and look at some cool designs that other people have made. The last thing I did this week is finish the chair and bowl project in Sketchup. This week brought a lot of challenge and i hope I will have a lot more challenge next week.

We got introduced to a new program called Sketch Up, and its really fun and exciting. we already have two assignments for Sketch Up as well. The fist assignment is to make a bowl and the other is to make a chair. This week I also got my realistic creature page on my eportfolio. This week was a lot of fun and I hope next week is fun as well.

Posted by ahowe27 in : 3D Design to Print , add a commentThis week in 3D Design to Build we did more of the same as last week. This week I got to print my fist ever creation in Sculpt+. It was really fun to make and I am currently working on another creature now. For the next creature the challenge is to make it more detailed, I have my work cut out for me! This week was really fun and I am looking forward to next week as well.
