Hello Everyone,

Nine items of note for this week.

• Additional Staffing Information – There were a few informational items around staffing that I left out of the allocations email I sent last Thursday.

SPED, ELL and TSS Staffing – Special Education (LC and CLC), ELL and TSS staffing allocations will come at a later date.
Staffing Adjustments – If enrollment for schools changes due to a large number of out-of-district transfers, staffing levels will be adjusted. Adjustments will be made first in May and a second time in August.
Counselor Time – As the largest elementary building in the district, downtown is continuing to give us a 0.5 counselor.
PE and Music Specialists – I’ll be getting more information about this in the coming weeks, but 4J is staffing PE and Music specialist time for a portion of the year at all elementary schools next year. The plan is for these specialists to relive classrooms teachers so they will have some collaboration time. I will share more details on this as I get them.

• IIPM Data Team Meeting Next Week – Not this week, but next week will be our six week IIPM Data Team Meeting. Subs will be coming to classroom at the times below, so plan accordingly for them. I’ll be sending an email to grade levels later this week about the students you are monitoring and what to bring to the meeting. Let me know if you have any questions.

• Kid Writing Contest Winner to Meet Tony Hawk – Tony Hawk’s “Join the Revolution” writing contest invites students to share why they should be chosen as the next member of the Revolution team to find the remaining pieces of Tony Hawk’s shattered skateboard.
