Hi All,

Four items of note for this week.

• Superintendent Visit – I’ve shared this previously, but I wanted to remind folks that our new superintendent, Shelly Berman, will be visiting our schools over the next couple weeks. He will be here this Wednesday, January 25th from 11:00-1:30 to tour the school and meet with YG staff at their staff meeting. He will visit again on Friday, February 3rd from 11:30-2:00 for a tour and meet with Corridor staff at their staff meeting.

• IIPM Data Team Meeting this Tuesday – This Tuesday will be our six week IIPM Data Team Meeting (though really 7 and a half weeks since I had to reschedule). Subs will be coming to classroom at the times below, so plan accordingly for them. Let me know if you have any questions.

8:00-8:50 Corridor K/1

8:55-9:55 Corridor 2/3

9:55-10:10 Break

10:10-10:50 Corridor 4/5

10:55-11:45 YG 2/3

11:45-12:25 Lunch

12:30-1:20 YG K/1

1:25-2:15 YG 4/5

• School Choice Tours – Next week, not this week, is our first week of school choice tours. Please take note of the dates and times, and be ready for visitors to come through your room on these days. Also, if you have any student work to display in the hallway or classroom, that is something that always looks great to potential new parents. Here are the dates of the tours again.

Corridor

• Thursday, February 2nd, 8:30-9:30
• Wednesday, February 29th, 8:30-9:30
• Thursday, March 2nd, 8:30-9:30

• Fire Drill – Monday is the only day this week with a forecast of a “Chance of Rain” as opposed to a forecast of simply “Rain”, so I’m going to try to have our Fire Drill at 8:40 on Monday. If it’s raining at that time, I’ll wait for a break in the weather and hold it later in the day.

• Taking It Up – There are still spaces available for staff to attend the latest “Taking it Up” workshop. See previous announcements for details, but it’s probably one of the best and most thought provoking workshops you will ever have the opportunity to attended. This isn’t your parents diversity workshop! It’s a two day workshop, on February 16th and 17th, which also offers graduate credit. Let me know if you are interested.

Have a fab week four day week!

Allan
