Hello Everyone,

Hope you all enjoyed your three day weekend (and it is snowing as I upload this, so maybe it was a four day weekend).

Four items of note for this week.

• School Choice Fair February 11th, 10:00 am – 2:00 pm at Chávez Elementary School Gym/Cafeteria – The district is adding an event to the school choice season this year: a school choice information fair they’re calling the “School Showcase.” This event will help parents get the information they need about 4J’s schools and the school choice process, all in one place. Schools are being allowed to bring their principal and two others. If any staff are interested in helping promote our schools at this even, please let me know. There will be extended contract available for staff who help at this event. Let me know soon if you can help me with this. If you’d like more information, attached is the email secretaries and principals received.

• School Choice Tours – Next week is our first week of school choice tours. Please take note of the dates and times, and be ready for visitors to come through your room on these days. Also, if you have any student work to display in the hallway or classroom, that is something that always looks great to potential new parents. Here are the dates of the tours.
