Hello Amazing Staff,

A few announcements for the last days here:

• Staffing Updates – For our 1st grade vacancy, from a very large and very strong candidate pool, we’ve hired Nicole Kerins. Nicole has taught for the past 17 years in a variety of positions ranging from teaching primary grades at Creslane Elementary, to teaching at Central Linn Elementary, to most recently teaching 1st grade in Abu Dhabi (she did a Skype interview that was 1:30AM her time). Nicole holds degrees in psychology and special education, and had glowing references, so we definitely hired a highly skilled person to join the Howard Team!

• Class Lists Revisit in August – I know some folks are still wanting to tinker with class lists, but I’m going to say we should wait until August until after we’ve seen who all has moved and who all has moved in and at that point finalize the class lists. We’ll plan to post class lists on Friday, September 1st at noon, so we have some time.

• End-of-Year Checkout – If you haven’t already, be sure to sign-up for a checkout time on the sign-up sheet located in the Staff Room on the white board. I’ll be in the building fairly late Thursday and am hoping to leave by 3:30 Friday, but I’ll be around all next week for anyone needing a later checkout.

• iPad and Laptop Imaging Requests – If grade levels have any requests for apps to be added or removed from laptops or iPads over the summer, shoot me an email and I’ll make sure they get updated.
