Hi All,

This week’s announcements mark the first time this year that the calendar has reached June dates. We’re closing in on Summer!

Three items of note for this week:

• Local History Opportunity – The Passport program, run by Lane County museums, has kicked off its third year. This is a program that encourages students and their families to explore the rich history of our area. Kids visit a museum listed on the passport and complete a set of challenge questions to get their passport stamped. If they get six different participating museum stamps and they are eligible for prize drawings. The passport can be found here.
• FYI – Math easyCBM Improvements in Fall – New K-5 easyCBM math measures are on track to be available Fall 2009. The new measures are more comprehensive, more closely aligned with core standards, and also contain progress monitoring measures. Each benchmark test will have 3 measures with a total of 48 items.
• Madison MS Band Assembly – Please remember the Madison Middle School band will be performing this Monday, 9:30-10:00 YG and 10:10-10:40 Corridor, in the cafeteria.

Enjoy your week everyone!

Allan
