Hello Everyone,

It’s the last week of school before your well-deserved Spring Break. I hope you all have plans to relax and to stay clear of schoolwork over the break.

Four items of note for this week:

• March 30th Professional Development – When we return from Spring Break (which is just a mere five days away, if you’re not counting), we have our final building Professional Development/Planning Day. We will use this day to address technology instruction. The day’s schedule will be:

o 8:30-10:00, Corridor review TIP Team Technology Curriculum Map
o 10:30-12:00, YG review TIP Team Technology Curriculum Map
o 1:00-3:30, Corridor & YG Staff Technology Tips and Sharing.

*3/4/5 teachers attending the district Science Inquiry Workshop do not need to attend the Tech Sharing.
• Technology Sharing on March 30th – Please let me know if you are willing to share at the afternoon technology staffing sharing portion of the day on the 30th. Useful websites, clever uses of various hardware, projects you’ve done, I’d love to have folks share any of the great things I see going on in classrooms.
• IEP Meeting Compensation – I know that quite a few teachers attend IEP meetings during planning times or outside the workday. If you’re not aware, the EEA contract entitles you to be compensated for up to four hours additional pay. Forms will be accepted between 5/1 and 6/5 and can be found here http://www.4j.lane.edu/hr/file/2007_2008_non_ess_license
• Monday Assembly – Please remember we have an assembly scheduled Monday morning in the gym. Times are on the on Google Master Calendar.

Have an pleasant week everyone!

Allan
