Hi Everyone,

As Winter Break gets closer, I know we can expect student and family stress levels (and probably our own too) to increase, which usually means an increase in “interesting” behaviors. Tip of the triangle kids tend to escalate this time of year, so remember to take a deep breath and relax during these hectic last two weeks of school before the break.

Six items of note for this week:

• New CLC Hire (sort of) – We conducted interviews to this past Thursday for a permanent replacement for Michael Larsen’s six hour CLC IA position and have hired Kristi Benz, who is currently working in the CLC as a four hour autism one-on-one. We hope to conduct interviews soon for Kristi’s four hour position. Marlene Thornton, who has been the temporary employee in the CLC IA position, will temporarily fill Kristi’s position until we find a permanent replacement.
• easyCBM Testing Deadlines – Please remember if you want help entering Winter Benchmark easyCBM scores, you need to have those scores to Ruby (YG) or Jon (Corridor) by this Friday. If you are entering scores yourself, all scores need to be entered by the end of the day Friday, December, 17th. If you have any questions about testing, check the 4J easyCBM website or feel free to ask me.
• Fire Drill – Just a reminder that there is a Fire Drill this Thursday at 10:30.
• Check Your Paystubs – Remember that monthly pay stubs are now viewable only online. It’s always good to check your pay stub for accuracy each month. You can follow the directions on the 4J Paystub website, which can also be found under “For Staff” on the main 4J homepage.
• Corridor and YG on Facebook – I’ve decided to take the plunge and create an “official” Facebook page for each of our schools. I feel this will be a good way to promote our schools and also a good way to communicate with our families. If you are a Facebook user, here are the links to the Corridor and Yujin Gakuen Facebook pages.
• JUST FOR FUN – Classic Goosebumps Book or Cheesy Horror Film? – This is just for fun and I always had a big dislike for these books, but this quiz on Mental Floss is kind of funny. I got 9 out of 10 correct.

Have a fabulous week, everyone!

Allan
