Hello All!

Four items of note for our four day week (or at least four days with students).

• EasyCBM Norms – The percents and graphs on the EasyCBM website have been updated for Winter Testing. The district does realize improvements to these reports need to be made, making them easier to read for parents and staff, and to consolidate information.
• Tom Quesstion Assembly – The Tom Question Assembly has been rescheduled for Monday, February 23rd. Corridor will be 8:20-9:05 and YG will be from 9:15-10:00.
• OAKS Scores for New Students – FERPA does not allow the electronic transfer of test scores if a student has tested in another district. When a student has tested in another district and you go to OAKS, it will not show that student’s score and will show the message “This student’s resolved highest scale score was achieved in another district. Therefore, due to privacy purposes, it cannot be shown.” These scores will also not be in the Data Warehouse. If you need scores from another district, call that school and ask for the test coordinator for scores, or check their cum folder. If that doesn’t work, attached (4j_request_for_scores.pdf) is a form (which needs signed parent permission) that you can fax to Kristine Keizer and she will get scores for you.
• Be Kind to Animals Poster Contest – The Oregon Humane Society is sponsoring a Poster and Photo Contest to promote kindness towards animals, which includes prizes for the top three winners at each grade level. I only have one flyer, so let me now if you’d like me to make you a copy of the information. There is a very brief description on their website here. http://www.oregonhumane.org/news/student_contest.asp

Have a great week, everyone!
