Howdy All,

I hope everyone had a productive and useful State In-Service Day last Friday. Here are a few items of note for folks this week:

• Free & Reduced Meals – Both of our schools are very close to reaching the 40% free & reduced threshold to qualify for Title 1 funds. Corridor is 17 students away and YG is only 7.6 students away from 40%. Please connect with any families who you believe could qualify or benefit from this program and be sure to give them a copy of the application form. Application forms are located in the office and also online here http://www.4j.lane.edu/nutrition/freelunch
• OAKS/State Assessment – The testing window for Reading, Math, and Science are now open. However, we do not yet have the usernames and passwords for teachers to set up testing sessions. I’ll pass this information along to 3/4/5 teachers once I have it. http://www.oaks.k12.or.us/
• Dancing With the Stars – All staff members are invited to attend the Dancing With the Stars event at the Upstart Crow Studios, featuring our very own Mike Odle, this Saturday at 6:30. This is a fundraising event for the non-profit dance studio. http://www.upstartcrowstudios.com/schedules/upcoming_events.php
• Bus Safety – Please email me how you taught the mandated bus safety procedures with your students. YG K-4 do not need to contact me, I already have your info. Remember there are bus safety videos available on the Learn 360 website (the new United Steaming).
• Learn 360 Registration – If you haven’t registered on the Learn 360 site, here are the links to register for each school (You’ll have to copy and paste. For some reason I couldn’t make these a hot link):
Corridor – http://www.learn360.com/PassThrough.aspx?PassKeyCode=9ba2202f-5890
YG – http://www.learn360.com/PassThrough.aspx?PassKeyCode=9ba2202f-5944

Have a great week everyone!

Allan
