Newsletter for Week of Feb. 29

The book fair is open before and after school this week! It’s a great way to build your family’s library and support our school. This Monday will be Family Night at the Book Fair from 6 to 8 pm.  PAHS Parent Group Meeting will also be going on during the Book Fair from 6:30-7:30 pm.

This week is Dr. Seuss Week!  We will have Seuss inspired spirit days.  Tomorrow is Fox in Socks day! Students are encouraged to wear crazy socks.  Tuesday is Cat in the Hat day where students are encouraged to wear black, white and red.  Wednesday is Wacky Wednesday. Students can sport wacky clothes. This could be as simple as wearing clothes inside out or backwards.  We never expect students to have to “go shopping ” for spirit days.  They are just fun, optional days.  Thursday is Sneetch Day.  I’ll have yellow stars to tape to student’s bellies. Friday is Grinch Day where students are can wear green.

This Monday and Tuesday, Artist in Residence, Laura Jackson will be back to work with students on glazing their pottery.

If you are interested in helping out the classroom, I could use some help Wednesday, Thursday and/or Friday mornings from 8-9:15 (math) or 9:15-11:00 (reading).
