Week 13: Newsletter

Dear Families,

Even thought it was COLD today, students went outside for recess.  Please make sure that your child comes with a warm coat.  You are also welcome to send a hat, scarves and gloves if your child tends to get cold.  Hoodies and sweatshirts aren’t quite warm enough when temperatures really dip.  Umbrellas aren’t allowed at recess due to safety reasons.

Reading Calendars are due TOMORROW! If you have lost yours, here’s a link to a new one.  Make sure that your child’s name is written on it and you’ve signed it.  Last month I had several without names that were unclaimed.  🙁  A December one will be coming home tomorrow.  Please remember that at home reading is the only “real homework” I assign.  Students should read and/or be read to at least 15 minutes a day.  This is SO important!

Talent Show signups are underway.  if your child has a talent and wants to perform, s/he should sign up ASAP and practice for try outs.

Food Drive going on.  Please see collection list from Feed Hope if you’re able to send in donations or if you would like to help with food packing.  This food will be packed and sent to Holt families who could use a little help.
