Week of 4/9-4/13

We made a nice transition back to school from spring break last week.  Students explored the relationship between force and distance in a complex lab.  Student teams built and tested pulleys. This week we will begin by analyzing the lab results to make sure students understand how the pulleys make “work” easier.  Then we have another mini-lab involving machines.  I can’t believe it, but after the mini-lab students will be ready for the end of unit test.  This test marks the end of my teaching time in Mr. Morphis’ class.  It has been a real pleasure working with your students.  I am not ready to say goodbye though.  Next week,, I will still be here, observing and helping tie up any loose ends before my practicum ends on April 20th.

MONDAY – Finish Pulley Lab Analysis/Introduction to machines

TUESDAY – Machines Mini-Lab

WEDNESDAY – Test Review

THURSDAY – End of Unit Test for Chapter 8
