This has got to stop! These garbage patches are growing and are harming specific species, and the overall health of our oceans. If you have to get a bag, a reusable bag is preferable and easy! My wife and I purchased five of them for $5 and use them every week. If we forget, which happens at times, we just ask for paper bags rather than plastic. We use these paper bags as trash bags also. Simple, easy, and if more people would do this, we could at least stop adding to this trash heap that is “piling” up and degrading our ocean ecosystems. 🙂
