Week of 3/19-3/23

We did a great deal of “work” in science last week and I am confident that the students have learned a great deal about this important physical science term.  If you have a chance, ask your student to give you an example of someone doing “work” in the scientific sense.  This week we will shift our attention to OAKS testing.  During the first few days of the week, 8th grade students will take the test with Ms. Taylor.  7th grade students will explore some of the concepts Dr. Rick Kang introduced to us when he visited a few weeks ago; investigating the solar system.  We’ll end the week with a review of last week’s material and a mini-lab about simple machines.  This will be a full week right before spring break!
