Week of 10/26-30

This will be an exciting week for the 6th graders as our salmon eggs are dropped off this week! Constant monitoring of water pH, ammonia levels, and temperature will be done with students taking turns performing each task.

7th and 8th graders will be looking at Newton’s Laws of Motion with the 2nd law introduced this week. We will take a detour in the middle of the week and look at the rain shadow effect with precipitation levels on each side of the Cascades. Geography will be integrated into this as students will be plotting eight cities around Oregon and calculating average rainfall amounts for cities on the East and West side of the Cascades.image016
