Week of 10/19-10/23
Oct 20th 2009Mr. Morphis' Class blogUncategorized
This week brings a change for the classes. 7th and 8th period will begin a unit on rivers, with a focus on salmon. We will have salmon eggs delivered next Tuesday, which we will raise in our classroom and release on our field trip November 19th at Whitaker Creek in the Coast Range. pH levels, ammonia levels, and water temperature will be constantly measured to ensure an adequate habitat for our salmon to hatch and grow.
4th period will delve into the physical sciences with a unit on gravity. Velocity, distance, and time are the addressed in this week’s home work packet, which is of course due Thursday. Wednesday we will build our center of gravity people and next week we will conduct an egg drop experiment!
