Have you ever wanted to put a worksheet under your doc camera and have students come up to the SMART Board and use the SMART Board pen to show their work? I finally figured out how to do it!! (This works for the slate too by the way).
1. Make sure your document camera-projector-computer cables are all set correctly. Here’s a link to a great “how to” video to make sure it’s set up correctly.

or follow the written steps below:
— Turn the document camera on and make sure you have selected the “PC mode” on the camera.
— Once this is on, you need to open the AverVision software located in your applications folder. When this has been opened, you should be able to see the image underneath the document camera.
— Click on your floating tools toolbar and select a pen! You are now ready to use the document camera image with either the slate or the whiteboard. Don;t limit yourself to the pen — all the other SMART Board tools will work with the doc cam too!
