Now that everyone has their own classroom projector, please be mindful of your computer’s desktop clutter. Keeping files and folders on your desktop are handy for you but distracting for your students. A quick way to hide everything is with a free program called Desktop Curtain. (Thanks, Kellyclare Gardiner and Mary Hochberg!) The program is quick and easy to use and will protect your privacy as well as focus your students’ attention. Paste the link below into a browser and download the program and then put it on your dock. Set it up so that clicking on it once brings down the curtain on your desktop. Clicking on it a second time raises the curtain. You can use any picture file as your background or the Mac defaults – your choice!
