Resources for summer enrichment

Thank you, parents, for your support this year. Your children made awesome academic gains, and they were an enjoyable class to get to know.

We wholeheartedly encourage you enjoy the outdoors and special times with your families. Since studies show that students may lose between 1-2 months of learning progress over summer, we also encourage students to spend time reading, using French, and doing math each week, as well. French and math are two areas that might be a bit challenging to fit into a fun summer schedule. It doesn’t have to be boring, though.  So, we’ve put together some fun links for your children to try.

Please check out Les ressources de Mme Jana and Mme Shelli’s Math links links in the tabs above to find resources for your child to keep up with math & French over the summer.

Additionally, (from Mme Jana) as the TAG coordinator, I have a lot of resources and fun websites that are good for all those interested in learning. The description of the link is below the link, so here you go:

https://www.internet4classrooms.com/grade_level_help.htm

This site has interactive websites grouped by grade level (K-8) and content area.

http://www.hoagiesgifted.org/

This is my favorite site. It provides information on the special needs of gifted youth, special programs available, and other topics in gifted education. Children will find contests, reading lists, and entertaining activities. This site has something for everyone.

Articles about gifted education. It is mainly leaning toward teachers, but there are lots of parent resources available on this site also.
