About

One of my favorite children’s books, What Do You Think? by Rainey Bennet, best describes what I love about learning and teaching: “Looking and reading and wishing and wondering and dreaming and remembering all help me figure something out—and that’s what thinking is!” I enjoy teaching and love to support and witness students’ learning through various modalities. I look forward to exploring learning with your first graders this school year.

I worked as a 4J educational assistant for several years, in many subjects grades K-8, before obtaining my M.Ed. and Elementary license. My student teaching experience was in grades 3, 4, and 1, and I’m excited to teach first grade again at Adams.

I like to… talk and learn with kids, make and view art, explore the outdoors, cook and try new food spots, read in a quiet spot, learn about history, visit with friends, play Scrabble, reduce/reuse/repurpose/recycle, and brainstorm ideas, alternatives, and solutions.

I have allergies and sensitivities to perfumes, colognes, and some products, so please keep your teacher happy and healthy by not sending scented items to our classroom with or on your child.
