Assignment #8: Creating A Simple Object Prototype (Individual): Solving a basic design problem (Time Permitting)
Students will explore different software applications for creating a simple 3D prototype design. As a class we will brainstorm ideas for replicating and/or customizing designs for common simple objects that are used to solve routine problems. Ideas can be found at the following links:
Reflection: In this assignment i was tasked of making a solo project out of all the methods we have explored last term, i chose 3D print. For this solo project i made a stand to carry headphones and a controller to hold my headphones and controller when i am not using them. This project took lots of time to measure thickness to be able to have the headphones fit in the grove, but it was worth it.
