Empowered vs Overpowered
Reflection:
Life 1.0 was when bacteria was the only thing alive and did not have the capacity to learn.
Life 2.0 was humans were life could move on from the minds of the humans ( Now Life 2.1)
AI has rapidly left human intelligence far behind. But this leaves a questions, Since robots can do everything and anything, what is the human’s purpose. The humans purpose is to manage the AI, make them understand our goals and retain our goals. We have a future goal that we build superintelligence and the goal is to create a friendly AI and go through every possible outcome to make 100% safe, this would solve poverty, crime, and eventually everyone could be equal. This means that we are not limited by our intelligents but only by the laws of physics.
How I feel about this new friendly AI is great. I think this new AI will solve so many problems and might make humans last twice as our normal lifetime, there could be no diseases, no problems. But as he said in the video we have to manage this or the they will overpower which can lead to human extinction.
