Assignment #13 – IMovie and/or IMotion- Story telling with IMovie and/or IMotion App (if time)
Description – Students learn the basics of iMovie video production and editing program, and the iMotion Stop Motion app to tell a story using still images, videos shorts, objects, and drawings for stop motion. Students pick a topic of interest to them, use one of the video formats to create a 30-120 second movie. Finished compositions must include a title and credits screen, transitions, labeling where necessary, and music/soundtrack. Students must complete a storyboard prior to movie production with storyboard picture uploaded to assignment page.
Students will make a iMotion Stop Motion “Play” movie to learn the iMotion app, and post it to their iMovie/iMotion page.

My reflection: The steps for this assignment (the IMovie and/or IMotion – Story Telling assignment) included making a sketch of the “scenes” of your “movie”, portraying those steps with an object(s) by taking still images of it/them in IMotion, changing the speed of frames per second to make the “movie” look smooth (not choppy), importing the “movie” into IMovie to edit any mistakes and/or add music/sound effects, and putting the finished “movie” onto your ePortfolios. I completed all of these steps with ease and efficiency. I made a sketch of the “scenes” of my “movie”, portrayed those steps with a narwhal and a marshmallow by taking still images of them in IMotion, changed the speed of frames per second to make the “movie” look smooth and not choppy, imported the “movie” into IMovie to edit any mistakes and/or add music/sound effects, and put the finished “movie” onto my ePortfolio. I LOVED this assignment greatly and I REALLY want to do it again.
